Shiatsu
Meridian pressure through clothing, on a floor futon. Our foundational treatment.
Wellness house · Kyoto & Copenhagen
01 — The House
Kinari means "as the wood grew" — unbleached, untreated, left as it is. The house was designed on that idea. Nothing in it is scented, backlit or piped with music. What remains is heat, water, hands and silence.
You are not booked into a schedule. You arrive, you bathe, you sit, and when your body is ready, your therapist comes to find you.
02 — Treatments
Meridian pressure through clothing, on a floor futon. Our foundational treatment.
Warm hinoki oil, slow forearm work through the whole posterior chain.
The traditional Japanese lifting massage. No product, no machine, forty-eight movements.
Dry scalp work seated in the tatami room. Thirty minutes, no undressing, no oil.
Bathing, shiatsu, kobido, a rest hour and kaiseki lunch in the garden room.
03 — Bathing
The bathing hall runs on a fixed sequence. Follow it and the effect compounds; skip it and you are simply having a warm bath.
Repeat the cycle up to three times. Bathing is included with every treatment.
04 — Timetable
Included with any day pass. No booking, no minimum, arrive as you are.
