Membership

Why we keep it small.

The house holds thirty guests. Membership is capped at two hundred and forty across both houses, and when it is full there is a list. This is not scarcity as a technique — it is the only way the building stays quiet on a Saturday.

Members hold one treatment slot a month in their own name, at a fixed time, whether or not they use it. Unused slots roll for three months and then lapse, which is the only part of the arrangement anybody ever complains about.

A membership here buys you fewer people, not more services.

Freeze it for up to three months a year at no charge. Cancel with one month's notice and no conversation.

Terms, plainly

How we handle changes.

Free up to 48 hours before. Inside that we charge half, and no-shows in full — the therapist is paid for the slot either way, and we would rather that came from the booking than from them.

No, and tipping is not practised here. The price on this page is the price at the desk.

For day passes, most weekdays. For treatments, almost never — the book runs two to eight weeks ahead depending on the therapist.

Any value or any named treatment, valid three years, presented on paper made in Kurotani. Ordered by email and posted within two days.

Copenhagen is priced in kroner at approximately the same level. Membership covers both, and members visiting the other house are asked only to tell us a week ahead.
